5:00pm, KuwaitWe bought genuine Iranian bread from a hole in the wall - literally. You go up to the hole, tell the baker how many slices you want, and he cooks it right there for you. The bread is cooked in a giant stone oven. The guy flattens the dough, puts in on what looks like a white pillow, and then quickly shoves the pillow into the oven. What he's doing is sticking the dough to the side of the oven to cook, and then he pulls it off with metal tongs. It is SO COOL to watch!
